A LEGACY OF EXCELLENCE

It did not occur by accident. It is a valued tradition that is passed from one class to the next representative of honor, leadership, achievement, service, and purpose. Every Xavierite is part of a shared story and proud continuum. "

e are excited to welcome all alumni and friends for                    our 2026 Homecoming week celebration.

      Welcome to Homecoming 2026:

     A Legacy of Excellence

There is an unmatched magic that fills the New Orleans air when Xavierites gather on Drexel Drive. Whether it has been five years or fifty since you last walked the Yard, the presence of every Xavierite is the heartbeat of this institution. Just a short moment ago, we stood together at multiple historic gatherings to celebrate our Centennial. We shared stories and looked back with reverence at 100 years of breaking barriers, cultivating leadership, and fulfilling the sacred vision of St. Katharine Drexel. We honored our status as America’s only historically Black and Catholic university, a beacon of social justice, intellectual rigor, and unparalleled achievement in the sciences, arts, and humanities.

For the next 100 years, we must remember that we all have contributed to shaping this legacy and must keep moving. Homecoming 2026 marks our official step into the next 100 years. As we transition from honoring our past century to building our next, we look to you, our extraordinary alumni, to help carry the torch. Throughout Homecoming Week, we invite you to reconnect, rejoice, and invest back into the community that helped shape you. Attend the events, activities, campus tours, tailgates, catch up with lifelong friends, network with the brilliant young minds currently filling our classrooms, and reflect on what it means to be a Xavierite.

Thank you for your unwavering dedication, your brilliance out in the world, and for always finding your way back to 1 Drexel Drive.

Hail All Hail XU,
